RSTP/MSTP Overview
The RSTP/MSTP solution is a portable software implementation of the Spanning Tree algorithm including Rapid Spanning Tree and Multiple Spanning Tree support. The software is portable to several leading operating systems and switch hardware using well-defined external interfaces. The solution has provision for supporting Link aggregation and Port authentication. It also provides comprehensive management capabilities. The RSTP/MSTP solution reduces the time-to-market for OEMs and VARs who wish to incorporate the RSTP/MSTP functionality into their switching/routing devices.
